About

John is a Leadership and development coach with proven success in developing and delivering effective needs-focused solutions for international and multi-national clients. He has more than 25 years’ experience in delivering leadership and development interventions and brings a broad range of experiences to help clients better understand performance in the organizational context.

John’s early career was in the intelligence field, where his work as an Arabic interpreter saw him liaise with international partners extensively across the Middle East. Further language learning took him to the Balkans as an Albanian interpreter, where he began his shift into training and development when working closely with international partner agencies. His mid-career saw John qualify as a post-compulsory education teacher focusing on leadership and management, working with emerging and growing leaders and developing a keen interest in the sense of self and our understanding of others. Further education in the human resource fields of development and performance management saw John continue his pursuit of deeper people understanding. International assignments took him to the USA, Middle East and SE Asia and had him leading in performance coaching to support complex operations, the establishment of governmental public affairs, the growth of future leaders and development of multi-cultural, multinational teams.

Latterly, John has been working across government departments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with noted success in developing and implementing effective client-focused interventions. More recently, John has been involved in foundational capability development initiatives at NEOM to drive a culture of values-based performance, effectively engaging colleagues across the enterprise in the process.  John is an adaptable and professionally qualified Development Consultant with proven leadership skills, who seeks to help organizations optimize performance.
